Overview
If you want the most impressive business cards we make, this is the page. Triplex cards are three layers of board bonded together into one 810gsm card. The middle layer is coloured, so a thin stripe of red, turquoise or black runs around the edge of every card. Pick one up and it feels almost like a tile.
What makes triplex the most impressive business cards
Weight, rigidity and that coloured edge, all at once.
At 810gsm, a triplex card is close to double the weight of most of our standard cards. It will not bend in a wallet. The coloured core turns the edge into part of the design: a florist might pair white outer layers with a pink core; a law firm might choose navy-toned print over a blue core.
Core colours, outer layers and sizes
You choose the outside, the inside and the shape.
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Outer layers | White or kraft |
| Core colour | White, black, red, orange, yellow, green, pastel green, turquoise, blue, purple, pink |
| Size | 85 × 55 mm or 55 × 55 mm |
| Lamination | None, or matt, gloss or soft touch on both sides |
| Printed | Front only or both sides |
Black business cards with a triplex core
For a black-edged card, choose the black core. Print a dark design on the faces and the whole card reads as black, with a crisp line through the edge. With kraft outer layers, a black core gives a striking brown-and-black sandwich.
Who chooses the fanciest business cards
People whose card has to carry a first impression on its own.
- A wedding photographer handing a card to a couple at a fair.
- A bespoke tailor or a cabinet maker.
- A restaurant owner leaving a card on every table at the end of the evening.

What is a triplex business card?
It is three sheets of board bonded into one 810gsm card. The middle sheet is coloured, so the colour shows as a stripe around the edge.

What core colours are available?
