Compliment slips are the short note of business stationery: a DL sheet with your logo and details, and space for a handwritten line such as with compliments, here are the samples, or thanks for your order. They are quicker than a letter and more personal than nothing at all.

Paper and size
Every slip is DL, 99 × 210 mm, a third of an A4 sheet, so it fits a DL envelope flat.

All three are smooth and uncoated, so a pen glides across them and the ink dries quickly.
Front only or both sides
Front only is the classic choice; both sides adds room for more.
The reverse can carry a returns note, a discount code for the next order or care instructions. A candle maker, for example, might print wick-trimming tips on the back.
Matching your stationery
Use the same paper weight and design as your letterheads and continuation sheets for a set that looks planned. Many firms keep compliment slips in the same drawer as their letterheads and reach for them more often.
