Overview
Our standard business cards are printed in full colour on silk card at the UK size of 85 × 55 mm. You pick the card weight, one side or two, the lamination and the quantity, then upload your artwork. Prices are live on the page and change as you change each option, so you can order business cards online in a few minutes and see exactly what you are paying for before you check out.
Business card printing: the four choices
Every card on this page is shaped by four decisions, and each one changes how it feels in the hand.
| Option | Choices | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Card | 350gsm silk, 450gsm silk | 350gsm is a firm everyday card. 450gsm is extra thick and noticeably stiffer. |
| Printed | Front only, both sides | Full colour on one face, or on both. |
| Lamination | None, matt, gloss, soft touch | A thin film on both faces that protects the print and sets the surface feel. |
| Quantity | 100 to 5,000 | Seven breaks: 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 2,000, 2,500 and 5,000. |
Which card weight suits your business cards?
Choose 350gsm for a dependable everyday card and 450gsm when the weight is part of the message.
Silk card has a smooth, low-sheen surface that holds colour cleanly. The 350gsm board suits a plumber who keeps a stack in the van, or a hairdresser with a pot on the front desk. The 450gsm board is extra thick. An estate agent, a solicitor or an architect who hands over one card at a time will notice the difference straight away, and so will the person receiving it.
Lamination: matt, gloss or soft touch
Lamination is a fine film sealed to both faces, and it decides how the card looks and feels.
- None leaves the silk surface bare, which is the easiest to write on.
- Matt calms the colours and cuts glare. It reads as quiet and composed.
- Gloss makes photographs and bright colours look richer.
- Soft touch has a velvety feel that people tend to rub between finger and thumb.
Any of the three laminates helps custom business cards survive a wallet, a coat pocket or a damp van door pocket.
How many business cards UK customers usually order
Most people start with 250 or 500, then move to 1,000 once the details are settled.
The price per card falls as the quantity rises, so 500 business cards cost less each than 250, and 1,000 business cards less again. A new sole trader testing a design might take 100. A gym handing a card to every new member, or a team sharing one design, will get better value at 2,000 to 5,000. If a phone number or job title is likely to change, keep the run smaller.

Questions
Quick answers about business cards.
What size are standard business cards in the UK?
The UK standard is 85 × 55 mm, which is what this page prints. Supply your artwork at 91 × 61 mm so there is 3 mm of bleed on every edge.
How much do 500 business cards cost?
The price for 500 updates live on this page as you pick card, sides and lamination. Per card, 500 works out cheaper than 250, and 1,000 cheaper again.
Is 350gsm or 450gsm better for business cards?
350gsm silk is a firm, dependable card that suits most trades. 450gsm is extra thick and feels more substantial, which is worth it when you hand cards over one at a time.
Can I order business cards online without a finished design?
Yes. Upload your print-ready artwork if you have it; if not, add design help as an option at checkout.
How long does business card printing take?
Saver production is from 5 working days, then delivery. Faster speeds may be offered on the product page if you need the cards sooner.
Which finish is easiest to write on?
Choose no lamination. The bare silk surface takes a pen better than a laminated face, which helps if you jot appointment times on the back.
Can I print on both sides?
Yes. Choose Both sides and both faces print in full colour, which leaves room for a logo on the front and contact details or a short service list on the back.
How much is delivery?
UK mainland delivery is £7.95 per basket, and free once goods total £100. Highlands mainland addresses add £10, and Northern Ireland and island addresses are quoted first.

Review Business Cards
How we handle reviews
Only people who bought the product can review it. Each review is checked against a real order and marked "Verified owner".
We publish every genuine review, good or bad, exactly as it was written. We never edit reviews or choose which ones to show. The only reviews we hold back are spam, abuse, or ones that include personal details like a phone number or email address.
The star rating is the average of every published review. We never pay for reviews or give discounts or gifts in return for them.
Reviews show the reviewer's first name and initial. To have your own review taken down, contact us.
