How to choose a paper

Start with how the card should feel, then check your design suits the surface.

Uncoated, textured boards such as linen, cotton and hemp drink in a little ink, giving a softer, printed-on-paper look.
Pearl reflects light, so it favours open, pale layouts.
Kraft is brown, so pale colours will take on its tone.

Most of these surfaces take a pen easily, which suits a ceramicist writing a price or a stylist noting the next appointment.

Print the front only or both sides, and choose square or rounded corners.
